Being in the Netherlands with cheese being the specialty we stumbled on a place which is true to cheese (kaas) , the restaurant is nice and intimate providing many cheese based options as well as a large selection of wines.
We tried fondue which was really tasty, a lot of options to dip with.
All in all a really nice experience.
The cheese bar is a really unique experience and a total must do whilst in Amsterdam. Would have appreciated better explanation of what the cheese are on the menu as it was quite hard to figure out by just their names. Also portions are on the bigger side so if you’re going as a smaller group it’s hard to get through several cheeses (we were 3 people and had 4 cheeses).
really cool experience, but because they were very busy i felt like our service was a little off… we went through numerous plates before anyone came back and asked if we wanted drinks. highly recommend otherwise!

Fantastic concept, but our visit was unfortunately marred by our server that had very little knowledge of the cheeses om the menu, and lacking service in general.
The cheese and their pairings however was fantastic. Food 5/5, service 2/5.
The place is cozy, warm and busy. Cheeses are 100% Dutch and some are absolutely delicious. Wine is good and they offer great pairing suggestions. Staff are very kind apart from the host who, although we had a reservation, wasn’t very welcoming and greeted us by saying we had 55 minutes left as we arrived 5 minutes after the time. That made it a bad experience.
Such a nice place to have cheese and good wine! Cheese lovers will not be disappointed by the extensive options of different type of cheese. You can sit at the bar and enjoy the cheese train. We chose to have the Mark’s choice plate to get surprised with different cheese! Good place for dinner date! Would recommend!!
We loved the Kaasbar experience, and found it even better than the similar option in London. The cheese portions are generous and the pairing condiments are fun & incentive. The wine selection is very well suited for the cheese, as well.
The service could use a little help. We were sat down without cutlery, menus or napkins. I guess you can get complimentary crackers, too, but we were never offered or provided any.
Still, overall a delightful experience. The string cheese smell hits you as soon as you walk in. Make a reservation easily online to get a seat at the carousel bar.
